Mega-popular Indian actress, model and television star Shwetha Menon will be traveling to Muscat, Oman to join efforts associated with the environmental initiative O! Millionaire for Onam, an annual harvest festival celebrated in the Indian state of Kerala, and will also be a special guest at the O! Millionaire weekly draw that will coincide with the event. To mark the festivities, O! Millionaire plans to dedicate an episode to be held on September 8 of this year, in the midst of the nine-day festival which represents a major celebration for the Keralites – the largest expatriate group among Indians in the Sultanate.
Shwetha will host the draw alongside O! Millionaire hostess Rachel George during the episode, the former Miss India finalist having primarily acted in Malayalam and Hindi language films in addition to appearing in a number of Kannada, Telugu and Tamil productions, and Dubai Duty Free will also host a meet and greet session, specially curated for dominant media figures and influencers.
Full of praise for O! Millionaire’s plans to create Oasis Park – poised to become the Middle East’s largest green park – the award-winning actress was quoted as saying, “I believe the project will generate awareness about environmental issues and reduce the effects on climate change, but most importantly, the initiative underscores O!
